MYSA Semifinals set

This weekend, the right to play in the Mississippi Youth Sports Association Super Bowl is on the line. In the A team division, ages 11 and 12, the defending champion Steelers battle the top seeded and undefeated Jackson Redskins at 10 am. The second A team semifinals game will be the Kearney Park Cowboys, from Flora who have a record of 8 & 2, battling the Jackson Giants who are 9 & 1. The game will be at 1 pm.  These games will be smash mouth football at its best. All four teams like to run the ball and play excellent defense.

In the B team division, ages 9 and 10, the defending champion Steelers will host the Kearney Park Cowboys at 9 am. The Steelers are undefeated and are looking to repeat. The cowboys are looking to avenge their super bowl loss last year to the Steelers. The second game will be the Jackson Panthers playing the second seeded Jackson Redskins. Their game will be played at Noon.  The Panthers only have one loss this season and it was at the hands of the Redskins. A close defensive game is expected.

The youngsters known as the C team division, ages 6,7, and 8, have solid matchups. The South Jackson 49ers will face the 3 times defending champion Jackson Steelers. The Steelers are looking for an unprecedented fourth straight championship. They start the games on Saturday playing at 8 am. In the second game, you have the Jackson Redskins hosting the Jackson Bears. The Redskins are undefeated and on a roll. The bears however will not be intimidated. This past Saturday, the Bears beat the undefeated Vicksburg Packers to move into the semifinals. Their game is scheduled for 11 am.
