Man steals from dead neighbor

OCEAN SPRINGS – A Jackson County man has been arrested on several charges after authorities said he broke into his deceased neighbor’s home and stole several items. Thirty-one year old Antonio Deshaun London was charged with taking four cars, three weapons and a television set from his neighbor’s residence.

Investigators were notified that London had removed four vehicles from the deceased neighbor’s property and once they examined the scene, discovered that London had also allegedly broken into the house and stolen the additional items.

Authorities said London reportedly scrapped the vehicles at Hickman’s Scrap Yard, which is owned by his girlfriend’s family, and pawned the weapons at a local pawn shop in D’Iberville.

London, a convicted felon already on probation for receiving stolen property, was transported to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center.

He was formerly charged with with four counts of felony taking of a motor vehicle, one count of burglary of a dwelling and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
