Man gets time for thousands of images of child porn

JACKSON – A Yazoo City man has been sentenced to 10 years in jail after pleading guilty to five counts of child exploitation. Attorney General Jim Hood said 29-year old Tommie Logan, II, of the 4700 block of Lake City Road, was arrested after investigators found thousands of images of child pornography on several computers in his home.

“This defendant was using technology to commit his heinous crimes and we used technology to put him behind bars,” said General Hood.

Logan appeared before Judge Jannie M. Lewis who sentenced him to 10 years with five to serve and five years post-release supervision.

In addition, Logan must pay $1,000 to the Crime Victim’s Compensation Fund and he was ordered to receive psychiatric counseling.

Logan must also register as a sex offender.
