Four gang members charged with beating and urinating on victim

OCEAN SPRINGS – Captain Mick Sears of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said four members of the Simon City Royal Gang are behind bars for allegedly luring a 16-year old boy to a party, robbing him, beating him and then urinating on him.

The alleged incident occurred during the afternoon on June 14. Sears said 18-year old Brandon “Bam Bam” Stewart, 17-year old Kristian Cody Trosclair, 17-year old Tiven Tyrone Singh and 18-year old Phillip Ryan Shippee allegedly called the victim and asked him to come to a party.

“From information developed during an investigation, [we learned] the suspects planned to rob the victim,” Sears said. “When he arrived, they beat him until he was unconscious.”

Sears said the four men then allegedly stole the teen’s clothes and his jewelry and then urinated on him.

“The victim is from the Ocean Springs area and he was transported to a hospital where he was treated for a fracture of both the upper and lower jaws,” said Sears.

Stewart, Trosclair, Singh and Shippee were each charged with aggravated assault and strong armed robbery.

Sears said three of the men in custody already have a criminal background. Stewart is currently out on bond for felony burglary-breaking and entering of an occupied dwelling with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department as well as eight counts of commercial burglary of an automobile.

Trosclair is out on bond through the city of Gulfport for eight counts of felony commercial burglary of an automobile and Shippee is also out on eight counts of felony commercial burglary of an automobile through the city of Gulfport.

All four men are currently being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center awaiting their initial appearance in justice court.
