WEST POINT – A former city judge with the city of West Point was arrested last Thursday in Monroe County after he allegedly tried to break into a house.
David Lambert, 47, was arrested on Sept. 13 by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department after an incident on HuckLann Drive. Authorities said Lambert went to the residence and allegedly kicked in the door.
The sheriff’s department said Lambert reportedly broke into the home with the purpose of assaulting a female inside the residence.
Lambert was taken into custody and charged with breaking and entering of a dwelling. He was released on Sept. 14 on a $5,000 bond.
Lambert was also a former prosecuting attorney for the city of West Point.
