Ellisville man charged with taking credit cards of nursing home resident

JACKSON – An Ellisville man has been arrested and charged with taking and using the credit cards of a vulnerable person, Attorney General Jim Hood said.

Javoske Antwain Marsh, 22, of Ellisville, was arrested by Investigator Jamie Patrick of the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the Office of the Attorney General, with the assistance of officers of the Ellisville Police Department.

The arrest follows Marsh’s indictment on two counts of felonious use of credit card to obtain goods and services and one count of attempted felonious use of credit card to obtain goods and services.

At the time the crimes are alleged to have been committed, Marsh was employed at Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living. He is accused of taking credit cards belonging to a resident of the facility and using them to charge more than $1200 and attempting to charge an additional $400.

Marsh is being held in the Jones County jail. Arraignment has not been set. If convicted, he faces 15 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) and $15,000 in fines.
