Car of murdered Maryland woman found in Webster County

Suspect wanted in Maryland

Authorities said the car of a woman found murdered at a farm in Maryland last week was stopped at a routine sobriety check in Webster County near Walthall Friday night. The car was driven by 28-year old Leroy Wilson, Jr., formerly of Denton, Maryland. Wilson refused to stop at the checkpoint and led police on a brief pursuit before crashing the vehicle.

When Wilson was arrested, Webster County officials learned he was wanted in Maryland in connection with the murder of 28-year old Lindsey Crispino. Crispino was found dead on April 27 in Centreville, Md.

The Queen Anne County Sheriff’s department said Crispino’s body showed obvious signs of trauma and they began a search for her missing 2000 white Chevy Impala.

Wilson was driving that vehicle when he crashed in Webster County.

He is currently being held without bond pending extradition to Maryland.
