JACKSON, Mississippi (AP) — A lawyer asked a federal judge on Friday to delay the October trial of a Mississippi man charged with sending poison-laced letters to President Barack Obama and other officials.

Tupelo mom, 2-year-old daughter killed when runaway 18-wheeler crushes their parked car

TUPELO, Mississippi -(AP) — Authorities have released the names of a woman and her young daughter who were killed Friday in Tupelo while sitting in a vehicle that was struck by a runaway tractor-trailer.
