Craft told police she pulled into an empty lot by Livingston Road while she waited for friends to come and help. Craft said a few minutes later, a black Impala circled the lot and a man exited the vehicle wearing a ski mask and demanding her purse.

Craft then handed over her laptop, video camera and digital camera. The man reportedly stuck a gun to her child’s head and demanded jewelry.

Craft said at that moment, a police car drove by and the man ducked behind her car and later ran off. Craft notified police and the same officer who initially drove by responded to the scene. The officer reportedly told Craft she thought the man was changing a tire on her car.
