General Conference of United Methodist Men held in Nashville

The 10th gathering of United Methodist Men was held at Belmont Collge instead of Purdue University for the first time in its 40 year history. The conference was held July 10-12 at the college in Nashville, Tenn. Delgates from around the world gather every four years to worship, study and exchange their ideas in Christian fellowship. Vince Gill and Paul Saik provided inspirtational music for the gathering, that assisted in declaring the centrality of Christ in every man’s life, Book of Disipline, 256 (b) (2008).

Mississippi was represented by Ira Kynard, President of East Jackson District; Renault Pannell, Aldergates’s president, George Washington, former conference president and Chet Dilliard, the current conference president.
