On behalf of the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and Institute of International Education (IIE), Brandi Pikes was selected as a recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship in the amount of $5,000.
During the Fall 2009 application cycle, the Gilman Scholarship Program received 1,927 applications from 850 possible awards. Brandi was offered to participate in the Institute for Study Abroad, Butler at the Wales-Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. Brandi’s program starts September 12, 2009 and ends December 17, 2009.
Alcorn State University and the Department of Mass Communica-tion congratulate Brandi Pikes for her hard work in obtaining this scholarship.
