JACKSON, Mississippi (AP) — Olivia Cunningham scored 19 points, Erika Toney added 12 and Horn Lake rolled past Olive Branch 74-39 to win the Class 6A girls state championship on Saturday night at the Mississippi Coliseum.
The Lady Eagles (29-1) jumped out to an 18-6 lead by the end of the first quarter and were ahead 41-15 by halftime. Cunningham shot 6 of 11 from the field and also added nine rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks.
Toney led a Horn Lake bench that contributed 26 points.
Olive Branch (27-7) was led by Dominique Baker’s 17 points and seven steals. The Lady Conquistadors shot just 9 of 36 (25 percent) from the field and were outrebounded 41-27.
