Approximately every 26,000 years, our solar system makes a complete circuit. It takes about 2,160 years to travel through each of the 12 signs of the zodiac. Each of these transits or astrological ages represents one month in the Cosmic Year. This phenomenon is called the Precession of the Equinoxes. Many people including the: Aborigines, Apache, Cherokee, Dogon, Egyptians, Essenes, Hopi, Iroquois, Kabbalists, Maya, Navajo and Qero elders of Peru, refer to this same 26,000 year cycle in their mystical belief systems. Each have developed calendars based on this great cycle. It is not lost on this writer that 26,000 is a higher octave of 260, the approximate number of days in the gestation cycle of human beings.
It is generally agreed that the Mayans had a remarkably accurate calendar. They understood this grand cycle to be composed of 5 cycles of 5,125 years each. Within the 5,125 year cycles lie 13 smaller cycles (baktuns). According to the Mayan calendar, this last 5,125 year cycle began 3113 B.C and will end 2012 A.D. with the final baktun running from 1618 A.D. to 2012 A.D. This cycle is known both as “the triumph of materialism” and “the transformation of matter.” The Maya predicted this final baktun would be a time of great forgetting in which we drift very far from our sense of Oneness with Nature and experience a kind of collective amnesia. This forgetting will lead to the increased belief in the limited reality of appearances, resulting in the growth of Man’s ego and desire to dominate and control. We are witnessing the beginning of the end of this world order. The cacophony is just the death rattle. It is time for the last rites.
The end of life as we know it does not mean THE END. The death of one life only means the birth of another. In reality, there is only One Life. What we call birth is Life unfolding and what we call death is Life refolding. It is a cosmic breath (inhalation and exhalation)…..a heartbeat (diastole and systole) and it is Infinite.
The New World Order will be ushered in whether we’re ready or not. The quickening of the New Birth is near. Only those operating on a higher vibratory level will survive. There are those who would like to believe they are the architects of the New World Order. They are not. Their world is coming apart at the seams. It is time for us to realize that we are really just one organism in contact with itself everywhere on the planet. Our Divinity is presenting itself to be claimed. The emergence of our Empowered Potential is at hand. How will this reality be realized? Wherever one looks, The Universe points to Nature, to one’s own body, one’s own mental attitude and the state of one’s own heart.
