Still no final decision in Hattiesburg mayor rematch

HATTIESBURG, Mississippi (AP) — Early returns show independent Dave Ware taking a very slim lead over Democratic incumbent Johnny DuPree in a special election for Hattiesburg mayor with absentee votes still uncounted.

Dave Ware outraising Johnny DuPree in Hattiesburg mayoral rematch

HATTIESBURG, Mississippi (AP) — Challenger Dave Ware is raising more money than current Hattiesburg Mayor Johnny DuPree in their electoral rematch.

Ware has raised nearly $130,000, according to reports filed Tuesday. Dupree has raised $60,000.
