RHS senior dies after being injured in pick-up football game

Funeral services are scheduled for today, Nov. 8, for a 17-year-old Richton High School senior who died Sunday after being injured during a game of pick-up football on the school’s baseball field.

Alex Lott was rushed to Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg Friday after authorities said he and several other students were playing touch football when Lott “stumbled and fell awkwardly.” […]

Lemons finds home with Mississippi College

After a season missed because of a detour in Arkansas, former Vicksburg High standout Les Lemons is back on the football field and making a difference.

Lemons is Mississippi College’s second-leading receiver and its top return man. He came to the NCAA Division III school after sitting out last season when it became evident that a playing opportunity at Arkansas-Monticello would not pan out.
