Rescuers search river for missing Arkansas man

Rescuers are still looking for an Arkansas man presumed drowned after he went fishing near the Mississippi River. Davis Lawson, 50, was declared missing on Nov. 13, and his boat was later found floating down the Mississippi River.

An abandoned truck was found at Quapaw Landing which they believe belongs to Lawson.

Authorities believe Lawson went fishing and brought his boat up to a sandbar, WABG reported. Footprints also led investigators to believe that Lawson’s boat slipped back into the water and when Lawson ran back to the water to get it, he fell into the river.

Officials also said Lawson recently underwent heart surgery.
