New Horizon Church International will host the Talent and Fashion Explosion 2009: Diamonds, Pearls and Furs.
This program benefits a high school Student Ambassador in the People To People Program who will be traveling this summer to France, Italy, Greece.
People To People was started by President Eisenhower and has been greatly supported by every president thereafter. The objective is to help promote international understanding while building leadership skills among America’s Youth.
This experience includes meeting government officials, interaction with other students, many educational activities, and home stays with host families.
President Eisenhower be-lieved that if people from different cultures could come together in peace and friendship, so eventually would countries.
The event will feature several of the following guests: former Ebony Fashion Fair model, Royalty; Mr. and Mrs. Fitness 2009, Billie and Laquita Sanders; The Anderson Youth Modeling Ministry, Men of Distinction, Prom 2009, and 5th Child (Steven Brown).
The Royalty group also include: Miss JSU, Miss Tougaloo, Miss Jim Hill, Miss Lanier, Miss New Hope, The Choctaw Indian Princess, Miss Mississippi Outstanding Teen and others.
There will also be a scene “Out of Africa” performed for guests.
