Pearl spokesman Capt. Brian McGairty tells the Clarion-Ledger (http://on.thec-l.com/1M0AyyI ) Eloy Guttierrez Reyes was arrested as a result of a routine traffic stop Sunday.
A Pearl K-9 named Splinter alerted detectives to the vehicle. Upon investigation, officials found 47 pounds of methamphetamine and 53 pounds of marijuana.
Detective Chris Picou says Reyes was going to be part of a larger operation.
Reyes was booked on possession of marijuana and meth with the intent to distribute. He is being held in the Rankin County jail. Bond has not been set.
It isn’t clear if he has an attorney.
