GULFPORT, Mississippi (AP) — A 24-year-old man wanted on a charge of capital murder related to a 2015 Gulfport homicide has been extradited from New Mexico to Mississippi.
Police spokesman Damon McDaniel said in a news release D’Juan Holloway, of Gulfport, is being held in the Harrison County jail without bond.
On Jan. 10, 2015, McDaniel says officers responded to a shooting and found Raymond Howze III dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
McDaniel says detectives later developed Holloway as the suspect.
On Jan. 12, 2015, Holloway was involved in a vehicle pursuit with New Mexico authorities. McDaniel says the pursuit resulted in an officer-involved shooting in which Holloway was taken into custody.
Holloway returned to Mississippi on Saturday.
Online jail records do not list an attorney for Holloway.
