PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) – Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula has been given a nearly $44 million addition to a previous contract.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/2fpjsa7 ) the contract is for long lead time material and engineering and pre-production activities for construction of a DDG-125 ship.
About 27 percent of the work will be done in Pascagoula.
The rest of the work will be done in Indianapolis, Indiana; York, Pennsylvania; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; High Ridge, Montana; Saratoga Springs, New York and Shreveport, Louisiana.
It is expected to be completed by July 2022.
