The Picayune Item reports a property owner looking for lost ducks found a human skull Tuesday in a wooded area near her home.

Chief Deputy Shane Tucker says deputies and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation were back at the scene Wednesday where they found a pelvis and other bones about 20 feet from the skull.

Sheriff David Allison says investigators believe the remains had been there between two to three years. He says a wallet was found with the remains.

The state crime lab in Jackson is doing the autopsy.
