A WTVA Report
OXFORD – Authorities say an Oxford mother and her daughter are missing after a trip to D'Iberville last week.

Lafayette County Sheriff's Department investigator Jarrett Bundren said a missing persons report was filed Sunday for Christina Howie, 32, and her 7-year-old daughter, Caitlyn.
Bundren said family members indicated the two left for D'Iberville on Aug. 1 and were expected to arrive back home Sunday.
Law enforcement in Wiggins confirmed the two stopped at a motel Friday night in the town, but authorities said nobody's spoken to Howie since Thursday.
Bundren said an Amber Alert will be issued only if the authorities suspect foul play, and at this point they don't because they've not found any evidence to suggest that.
Christina Howie is described as being 5' 3″, weighing 135 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Her daughter stands about 4' tall, weighs 70 pounds, and also has brown hair and blue eyes.
Howie was last seen driving a 2007 blue Nissan Altima with tag number LYI-987.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department.
