Mosley suspended indefinitely after arrest

OXFORD – (AP) Mississippi tight end Jamal Mosley has been suspended indefinitely after he was arrested last Saturday night for public drunkenness and disturbing the peace.

“Jamal is suspended indefinitely while we review the situation,'' Ole Miss football coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement.

Oxford police say Mosley and former Ole Miss player Nickolas Brassell were arrested after a disturbance in downtown Oxford. Mosley, a 6-foot-4, 260-pound senior, is the team's No. 2 tight end on the depth chart going into the fall after he caught 12 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown last season.

Brassell also was charged with disturbing the peace. Brassell is now enrolled at East Mississippi Community College because he was academically ineligible at Ole Miss.
