Jackson State University Tiger Bash Update

JACKSON, Miss. – The Jackson State University Department of Athletics, Blue Bengals and the Tiger Fund invites all Tiger Athletics fans to come support the JSU football team for the annual Tiger Bash on Saturday, Aug. 8, at the JSU Student Center Ballroom A. Doors open at 2:30 pm.

Admission is $5 and food and drinks will be served. Richard Myers (the voice of the JSU Tigers) and local radio personality Lady V (WKXI) will serve as Master and Mistress of Ceremony. JSU head coach Rick Comegy and players will sign autographs on posters and T-shirts from 2:30 pm – 3:40 pm. Children who want players to sign their shirts are asked to wear plain white T-shirts. Fans will be able to enter drawings to win prizes throughout the event.

The JSU bookstore will unveil new T-shirt designs and other Jackson State apparel during a modeling segment of the program. The Tiger mascot and cheerleaders will add to the festivities and entertain the crowd. Representatives from TeleSouth Communications will be on program to discuss exciting new details concerning Jackson State Athletics broadcast programming for the upcoming sports seasons.

JSU coaches who won Southwestern Athletic Conference championships during the 2008-09 season will be introduced and coach Comegy will provide his thoughts on the upcoming season.
