Out with the old and in with the new is what the Callaway High School Varsity Football team can say about their new uniforms this upcoming season.
On Aug. 8, 2010 at 10 a.m., members of “The Word Center,” a new church in Jackson that holds its Sunday and midweek services in Callaway High School Auditorium, presented a check to the Callaway High School Varsity Football team to acquire 85 new jerseys.
The team last received new jerseys three years ago and members of the church have high hopes on making sure the new jerseys will be ready for the new season.
On Aug. 1, 2010, the ministry distributed book bags and school supplies to its members.
Opened less than two months, this small church with a big vision is making an early start impacting the community. Representatives from the school and the football team were in attendance Sunday to receive the contribution.
