JACKSON – The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be replacing a bridge on Highway 80 in Rankin County. Work will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 9 a.m. with an anticipated completion date of March 2014.
Traffic will be switched from the mainline of Highway 80 to a temporary detour located 0.85 miles west of the Scott and Rankin County Line as crews begin a bridge replacement project.
The detour road will be in place while the existing bridge is being replaced.
Approximately 2.5 miles of Highway 80 from Brandon to the Scott County Line in Rankin County.
