McNair Business Partner Looks to Dissolve Restaurant

(NASHVILLE, TENN.) – A business partner of former NFL quarterback Steve McNair wants to shut down the Nashville restaurant they owned and stop the sale of McNair’s interest.

Raymond White filed a motion today in probate court to stop attorneys for McNair’s estate from trying to sell his interest in the restaurant, called Gridiron 9, to a third party.

Police said McNair was shot to death on July 4 in a Nashville condo by his mistress, who then turned the gun on herself. McNair did not have a will and his estate has been estimated at $19.6 million.

White’s motion argues that he wants to dissolve the limited liability corporation set up to run the restaurant located near Tennessee State University. It was only open 10 days before McNair’s death and hasn’t been open since.
