Jackson State University held its 2016 Fall Commencement exercises December 9 at the Lee E. Williams Athletic and Assembly Center when 26 Tigers student-athletes received their degrees and embarked on a new journey in their lives.
JSU interim president Dr. Rod Paige, who conferred degrees to over 600 graduates, encouraged the newly minted alums to be leaders. “As a former football coach I can tell you this,” said Paige. “If you take what you have been given, you can either sit on the bench or get in the game.”
