Extras, interns needed for work on film

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) – Movie extras and interns are needed to work on a low-budget film directed by Ethan Hawke and being filmed in the Baton Rouge area.

The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/2g7cwtI ) the positions are unpaid, but producer Ryan Hawke promises free food, hands-on experience for interns, a chance to be featured in the film for extras and “the experience of a lifetime” for all.

According to a news release by the Louisiana International Film Festival, the volunteers are needed Monday, Dec. 19.

The film “Blaze” will center on the life of blues musician Blaze Foley. Musician Ben Dickey plays the lead and it also features musician Charlie Sexton and other blues artists as band members.

Filming began Monday and continues through Jan. 13.
