Ridgeland police: Woman kidnapped, forced to drive to banks

kidnappingJACKSON, Mississippi (AP) — Police are looking for two men they say kidnapped a woman, sexually assaulted her and made her drive to several banks for cash.

Media outlets report that Ridgeland Police recently released surveillance photos of the suspects. The incident occurred in May.

The victim says she was getting ready to go to the gym when she was approached by the men. Armed with guns, the men forced the victim to go to seven ATMs in Jackson and Ridgeland.

She says one of the men sexually assaulted her, and that both men threatened to kill her.

The men stole the victim’s purse and cell phone. Lieutenant Tony Willridge of the Ridgeland Police Department says investigators tracked the phone to the Metrocenter Mall in Jackson.
