Mission Mississippi to host half day event focused on race relations

Pastors from across America will discuss solutions to racial tensions

cropped-Resized-MM-LogoJackson, Miss.- November 2, 2015 – Dr. Ronnie Floyd and Dr. Jerry Young and twenty pastors from across America are coming to Jackson, Mississippi for the Annual Racial Reconciliation Celebration Summit and Fundraising Luncheon. They are coming to this humble city to talk about race relations in America. Mission Mississippi is hosting the Racial Reconciliation Celebration Summit and Fundraising Luncheon on Wednesday, November 4th from 8:30am-1:00pm. The event will be held at the Jackson Convention Complex. Dr. Ronnie Floyd, President of the Southern Baptist Convention and Dr. Jerry Young, President of the National Baptist Convention, USA will lead the dialog. The Summit begins at 8:30am. A choir performance with First Baptist Church of Jackson and New Hope Baptist Church of Jackson takes place at 11am, and the Fundraising Luncheon begins at 11:30am. It’s a half-day jam-packed with opportunities to address, from a Biblical perspective, some of the issues surrounding race relations in America.
