OXFORD, Miss. (AP) – A former Columbus firefighter has pleaded guilty to federal charges in a child pornography investigation.
Multiple news outlets report 32-year-old Tyler Lofton entered a guilty plea last week during a hearing in U. S. District Court in Oxford.
Lofton was arrested in April 2013 following an investigation that dated back to December 2012.
Investigators say child porn was found on his computer.
He will be sentenced at a later date once a presentencing report is completed.
Lofton is currently free on bond.
