MCCOMB, Mississippi (AP) — A McComb man wanted for the October rape of a 16-year-old girl has been captured after he allegedly threatened another woman in McComb and fled.

The Enterprise-Journal reports that Justin Brumfield, 26, was arrested Thursday in Long Beach on warrants for sexual assault and kidnapping. He was taken into custody at the Pike County jail and held on a $1 million bond.

Brumfield was on the run for nearly three months. Authorities say that earlier this week he allegedly approached a McComb woman in a threatening manner, which prompted her friend to call police and that led to his arrest.

Police allege Brumfield lured a 16-year-old girl into the yard of an abandoned house as she walked to a school bus stop and raped her.
