MERIDIAN, Mississippi (AP) — The state Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction of a Lauderdale County man for his role in an armed robbery and kidnapping.

Frederick Pritchett was sentenced in 2012 to 55 years in prison. He was sentenced to 30 years for armed robbery, 15 years for kidnapping and 10 years for motor vehicle theft. The sentences are running consecutively.

Prosecutors say Pritchett participated in the armed robbery and kidnapping of an employee from Cash King off Old Highway 45 North in Meridian in 2011.

The Appeals Court on Tuesday rejected Pritchett’s arguments that the evidence did not prove his guilt. The Appeals Court says the jury heard testimony from the victim who saw Pritchett’s face and picked him out of a photographic lineup.
