LONG BEACH, Mississippi (AP) — According to Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove, the body found Friday in Pass Christian has been identified as 20-year-old Regina Camille Riley of Long Beach, who was reported missing on Oct. 4 and last seen around Sept. 27.
WLOX reported she was identified through dental records and tattoos during Saturday’s autopsy. Hargrove ruled the cause of death as asphyxia and her death is being treated as a homicide.
The badly decomposed body was found off of Clarence Avenue on Friday.
