NEW ORLEANS (AP) — With Drew Brees finding his usual rhythm, and the Saints defense showing vast improvement under new coordinator Rob Ryan, it appears that coach Sean Payton is putting together another contender.

Brees passed for three scores and scrambled for New Orleans’ first touchdown rushing of the season, leading the Saints to a 31-7 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Terror attack at Kenyan mall kills 59, wounds 175, including four Americans; hostage situation continues

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — The Kenyan military remained in a tense standoff with Islamic extremists Sunday, as the toll rose to 59 dead, including children, and 175 wounded in the attack at an upscale mall, a Kenyan minister said.

Multiple barrages of gunfire erupted Sunday morning from inside the building where hostages are being held by militants. The radicals attacked the mall Saturday and remained inside throughout the night.

MLK’s secretary selling collection, including page from `I Have a Dream’ speech

RIDGELAND, Mississippi (AP) — The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s personal secretary is selling a collection from the early civil rights movement, including handwritten notes by King and a page from his “I Have a Dream” speech, what the auction house calls an unprecedented historical trove.

Maude Ballou worked as King’s secretary from 1955 to 1960, when King led the Montgomery Improvement Association and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
