JACKSON – (AP) Daily Equipment Company (DEC) in Jackson has been sold to Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. in Houston, Texas, officials said.
The announcement came in a joint news release from
the companies. The terms of the sale were not disclosed.
DEC is headquartered in Jackson, and has other full-service branches throughout in Biloxi and in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport and Lake Charles in Louisiana.
Kent Eudy, MCFA’s vice president of sales and marketing, says DEC will continue to operate as Daily Equipment Company, with no changes in leadership, staff or support.
As part of the transaction, Daily will be resigning its representation of the Crown brand in favor of the Cat lift trucks, Mitsubishi forklift trucks and Jungheinrich brands manufactured and distributed by MCFA.

With approval Thursday from the State Institutions of Higher Learning Board of Trustees, University of Mississippi Medical Center leaders will sign an agreement to lease the 156-bed Grenada Lake Medical Center from the Grenada County Board of Supervisors.
