Jan Webb, 42, and her husband, William J. Webb, 59, were arrested on Jan. 8 for the sexual battery of a person under the age of 18.

While the attorney general did not release specific details about the case, he did say the alleged incident took place in October 2010 at the couple’s residence in the 3500 block of Shady Oaks Street.

The Webbs were indicted by a Hinds County Grand Jury and Jan Webb was arrested and charged with one count of sexual battery by a person in a position of trust against a family member that was under the age of 18, Attorney General Jim Hood said.

Her bond was set at $5,000. She bonded out on March 17, 2012 and her trial has been scheduled for Oct. 8.

Her husband, William “Sonny” Webb, was charged with one count of touching a child under the age of 16 for the purpose of gratification of lust. His bond was set at $20,000 and he remains in custody.

His trial date has not been determined.
