ELLISVILLE – (AP) A 19-year-old Jones County Community College student from Meridian was killed in a weekend traffic accident.
The Hattiesburg American reports that the accident was reported Saturday morning around 4:30 a.m. at Ellisville Trucker’s Crossing.
Responders found that a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado, had apparently run off the road and struck several trees.
The driver, Joseph Micah Redmond, was ejected from the vehicle and was unresponsive when medical first responders arrived on the scene.
Redmond was pronounced dead at the scene by Jones County Deputy Coroner Burl Hall.
