FAYETTE – A 10-year-old was killed after falling off a four wheeler Saturday in Jefferson County.
Sheriff Peter Walker said it happened around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 553 in the Harriston Community outside Fayette.
Tyliyah Cameron,10, was pronounced dead at Jefferson County Hospital around 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.
According to the sheriff, a 12-year-old friend was behind the wheel with Tyliya and her 12-year-old sibling on board.
Investigators said she fell off and was possibly run over by the vehicle.
Walker said she died of internal injuries.
Sheriff Walker warns parents and citizens to not allow under aged children to operate all terrain vehicles and to always wear safety helmets.
