Woman stabs boyfriend to death on New Year’s Day

BILOXI – Police said bond for a 26-year old woman, who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death on New Year’s Day, has been set at $1 million. Quisha Rena Larkin, of Biloxi, has been charged with murdering 53-year old Tommy Leroy McGee. Police said on Jan. 1, they were called to a residence, on James Buchanan Drive, to break up an alleged fight. When police arrived, they found McGee lying on the ground in the front yard near the front door with stab wounds to the chest.

Biloxi Police Sgt. Tim McKaig said the incident occurred around 7 a.m., and assorted firecrackers were found near the body. McGee was transported to Biloxi Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

During their investigation, WLOX reported that police questioned a man identified as John Mathis, as an initial person of interest. Investigators said, however, that evidence at the scene eventually led them to Larkin.

Authorities said it was known that Larkin and McGee were involved in a relationship and the two have a child together.

Larkin appeared before Judge Albert Fountain, who set her bond, and she is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
