Woman jumps from speeding car; driver charged

Long Beach police said an 18-year-old woman was seriously injured after jumping out of a moving car on Highway 90 Tuesday, Aug. 13, around 6:30 p.m.
 
According to Long Beach Police Chief Wayne McDowell, the victim told police she did it because the driver 22-year-old Chasity Murphy of Gulfport was driving too fast and she was afraid.

Police learned of the incident after a witness told police a vehicle opened and a woman fell out on Highway 90 and Lange Avenue in Long Beach. The driver reportedly continued driving west bound on Highway 90 without stopping, McDowell added. […]

Tupelo teen charged in parking lot assault

An 18-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault after she allegedly cut another woman in the neck and throat in a Kroger parking lot earlier this month.

Virginia Flores was charged by Tupelo police for an incident that occurred on Feb. 9. Woman stabbed in grocery store parking lot

Authorities are now saying what they believed to be an incident of road rage in the parking lot of a grocery store may have been the result of an ongoing dispute.

Police said a woman was slashed in the throat and neck multiple times outside a Kroger at Crosstown in Lee County on Saturday.

The woman, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital and her injuries were not considered to be life-threatening. […]
