Rep. John Lewis, Gabrielle Union unveil 1963 March on Washington stamp

Equality now has a stamp of its own as the U.S. Postal Service introduced the 1963 March on Washington limited-edition Forever stamp to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the historic milestone. For the first time, the Postal Service unveiled the stamp artwork with the help of people across the country.

Throughout this month, individuals added their photo to the March on Washington stamp on the U.S. Postal Service’s Stamps Facebook page to help reveal a small piece of the stamp.

Price of postage stamps going up Sunday

The Postal Service said the price of a First-Class single-piece letter will increase by a penny starting Jan. 27 bringing the price a Forever stamp to 46 cents.

Postal officials also introduced a new First-Class Mail Global Forever Stamp. The new stamp will allow customers to mail letters anywhere in the world for one set price of $1.10, and is among new mailing and shipping services filed with the Postal Regulatory Commission. […]
