Hinds County Human Resource Agency, the Community Action Agency that operates the Head Start program in Hinds County, has set up a donation page to help the family of Julius Jones.

Julius was the 4-year-old boy who was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of his apartment home Oct. 28, and died from the injuries sustained.
Julius was a preschool student at Mary C. Jones Head Start Center, where his teachers were Melody Lewis and Kenetra Sanders.  According to Lewis, “Julius was a very sweet child who was always willing to be a helper in the classroom.”  Lewis says she enjoyed being his teacher and he told her he loved her on a daily basis.
Hinds County Human Resource Agency is asking the community to make donations to help Julius’ family with his burial expenses and the unexpected financial burdens they will have to bear as a result of his death.
To donate, go to Hinds County Human Resource Agency’s website at www.hchra.org and look for the Julius Jones Burial Donations link under latest news and updates.  The link to the donations page is http://hchra.org/4-year-old-julius-jones-burial-donations-now-being-accepted/.
