MERIDIAN, Miss. (AP) – A minor, early morning earthquake was reported near the Mississippi-Alabama state line.
The U.S Geological Survey’s website indicates a 2.6-magnitude earthquake centered near Aliceville in west Alabama. It was reported around 3:30 a.m.
USGS geophysicist Paul Caurso told The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson that the USGS had not received calls from anyone reporting the earthquake, but didn’t rule out that some people may have felt the quake
There were no reports of injury or damage.
