Forrest County mother, grandparents arrested in death of 10 month old girl

death-investigation-graphic-newsjpg-8e0063431dc0b477LUMBERTON, Mississippi (AP) — Forrest County authorities have arrested a mother and grandparents on charges of child neglect that resulted in the death of a 10-month-old girl.

WDAM-TV reports 22-year-old Kaily Csaszar (CEE’-zer), of Lumberton, the child’s mother, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the Dec. 22 incident. Authorities also arrested 51-year-old Kelly Csaszar and 41-year-old Michelle Csaszar, the child’s grandfather and step-grandmother. Each was charged with child neglect, contributing to the neglect and death of a child.

Forrest County Deputy Coroner Lisa Klem says the infant, Jada Freeman, was pronounced dead at Forrest General Hospital. An autopsy is still pending.

Sheriff’s investigator Nick Calico says the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.

The three are scheduled to make their initial court appearance Wednesday.
