police lineBYHALIA, Miss. (AP) — Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson said deputies have arrested a landlord who is accused of setting two of his tenants on fire.

Dickerson told The Commercial Appeal that James Dozier, 57, leased a house near Byhalia to a man and a woman and confronted them with a gun about 10 p.m. Saturday. Dickerson said Dozier doused the couple with lighter fluid and used a lighter to set them fire.

Dickerson said deputies arrested Dozier Sunday, and he was being held on two charges of aggravated assault.

It was not immediately clear whether Dozier has an attorney, and the names of the victims were not immediately available.
