GULFPORT, Mississippi (AP) — Sentencing for former Harrison County Supervisor Kim Savant has been delayed until July 30.

U.S. District Judge Sul Ozerden reset the date last week.

The move comes after the trial of Kamran Pahlavan, former executive director of the Harrison County Utility Authority, was delayed until July 13.

Savant pleaded guilty in December to taking bribes from Pass Christian contractor Sean Anthony while an authority board member. Anthony is scheduled to plead guilty Tuesday.

Pahlavan pleaded not guilty in December to a five-count indictment alleging he took bribes from Anthony.

Savant faces up to five years in prison and $250,000 in fines on one count of conspiracy to commit bribery. The government also wants Savant to forfeit his gains totaling $36,000 over two years. He remains free on bond.
