2 Jackson officers fired, charged with grand larceny

2JPDOfficersJACKSON, Miss. (AP) – Jackson police have charged two of their own with grand larceny.

Two 25-year-olds, Willis Thomas and Rodney Vaughn, have been fired from the Jackson police force and charged in connection with the alleged theft of two trailers from a Jackson business.

Police said the recent theft of the two trailers from Airlock Insulation in Jackson was caught on a surveillance camera

A judge set bond Monday at $75,000 for each defendant.

Chief Lee Vance said the trailers were valued at around $60,000.

Vance said there is no indication that any other officers were involved, but there may be other arrests.
