HATTIESBURG, Mississippi (AP) — Police at the University of Southern Mississippi say a former campus employee is charged with seven misdemeanor counts each of stalking and disturbing the peace.

Investigators say 31-year-old Quandom Benn was arrested after turning himself in to university police Monday.

Capt. Rusty Keys says Benn was a computer technician on the Hattiesburg campus before resigning early in the summer. Keys says Benn is accused of stalking seven university staff members.

It was not immediately clear whether Benn has an attorney.

If convicted, he could face up to a year in jail for each count, plus fines.
